Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Modular Barn?
A Modular Barn is a building that is designed in modules.  These modules allow maximum flexibility in building design and construction.  Modular concepts also lower building costs.  Because of the modular design barns can be built small at first and later added onto without hassle.  Modular barns can also be moved around easily and even moved to an entirely new location.

How do these building compare to wood structures?
First of all, our buildings are constructed from steel making them stronger than wood.  Steel construction also adds other benefits such as fire resistance, easy maintenance, cleaning, and the ability to weather the elements better than wood.

Are these "kit" buildings?
No.  Barnmaster's buildings are not kit buildings.  Each building is custom designed and constructed to meet your specific needs.  However, the costs are comparable to so called "kit" buildings only our buildings offer maximum flexibility and use superior materials to "kits".  Tri-County Barns' offers affordable custom installation or you may choose to do it yourself or have an outside contractor install your building for you.

Can I finance a building or barn?
Yes.  However, Tri-County Barns does not have in-house financing but we can recommend a leasing institution as well as financial institutions who can help you.

Are these buildings just for horses?
No.  Our buildings are used for all types of animals and storage.  Our barns and buildings have been used to house cows, pigs, llamas, dogs, ostriches, camels, etc.  Besides animals, our buildings have been used as workshops and as storage for RVs, boats, cars, and more.

Is there any kind of size limitations?
No.  We can design and build you any size barn or facility.  In the past we have built single stall barns and entire equestrian facilities.

My community has HOAs (Homeowner Association).  Can I have a barn built to conform to them?
We do have experience in helping you conform to your HOAs.  Our custom approach to the design of your barn along with our modular concept will help you meet your HOAs.

I live in an environment that has specific wind/snow loads for building and roofs.
All of Barnmaster's buildings are built to your areas and environments standards.  We design and engineer buildings and barns with wind loads of up to 140 MPH and snow loads of up to 120 Pounds.  Our barns and buildings have withstood major earthquakes, hurricanes, and blizzards without structural damage.  Our barns are engineered to go into any environment from harsh deserts to high mountains.    Barnmaster's barns have survived through earthquakes, floods and hurricanes.
